"All the News in Fits"

 March 30, 2005

Note: The 2005 Fairfield Tournament will be held at

newly-renovated Laurel Creek Park.

If you're coming from central Contra Costa County, take 680 north across the Benicia Bridge, and continue on 680 until it hits 80.

The Fairfield Indians play their home games and hold their tournaments at Laurel Creek Park and Alan Witt Park in Fairfield, about 50 miles north of San Francisco (approx. 1 hr 15 minutes, depending on the traffic).

Laurel Creek Park:

North on 80 to Fairfield (past Texas Blvd. and Travis Blvd. exits) to Air Base Parkway Exit. Take Airbase Parkway to the right.  Past North Texas Street is Dover Avenue with a left-turn signal. Make a left onto Dover Avenue, and continue up to Cement Hill Road, where there is a church with a gold dome on the right hand corner. Right on Cement Hill Road to the Laurel Creek Park parking lot on the left.

Alan Witt Park:

North on 80. Before hitting the main part of Fairfield, take Highway 12 east toward Suisun City. You should see the Budweiser Brewery on the right. From 12 going east, make a left at the first signal onto Beck Avenue, and right on Woolner to the parking lot next to the field.
