Venus de Mascot

This is the 25th anniversary of the San Francisco Angels Baseball Team. At today's meal, we celebrate our longevity and give praise to our team mascot- no! not Hack Wilson, that's our team logo. Our mascot is the voluptuary Venus of Willendorf, a sensitive rendering of the salient aspects of the female form, which was even more scintillating at that time when men were ugly, smelly, fat, and stupid beasts in search of the perfect match. Why even today...

Games in Fairfield

Sunday morning, May 15,  9:30am-

From Davis, leave for Alan Witt Park in Fairfield by going south (west) on I-80. It should take about a half hour. The doubleheader starts at 11am. It is the league opener for the two teams.

From 80 going south, take the West Texas Street Exit in Fairfield, make a right onto Beck, and a left onto Woolner.

Click here for the Fairfield maps and the directions to Alan Witt Park from the south. Do not go to the wrong park. Alan Witt is the park on the south side of Fairfield, near Highway 12.

The Frightful Specter of Friendly Indians

There's something strangely wrong with the Fairfield Indians this year. We noticed it at their tournament recently. The Indians lost their own tournament! They appeared friendly! The umpires weren't really that bad! The tournament was well-managed!

For them, that's all wrong, the Fairfield Indians must be sick. There must be a deadly disease attacking them...

Maybe they're imposters! That's it. Notice that there are still no casinos in Fairfield! That should have given it away. These are fake Indians, they are another group of body snatchers from another planet! Even coach TA Smith is happy, he shook my hand and smiled. Aaagh, I've been infected. Stop these invaders, destroy this team before the sport of baseball is ruined by Fairfield's pleasantly gay Indians!
